Default Guns n' Roses Fans . . .

Here's a look at the new band for those of you who haven't seen it :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g210NDll6SA

This is November Rain from last week, there's links to the right to other stuff including two new tracks, "IRS" and "The Blues". Many of these have poor sound quality but NR sounds great.

The new lead guitarist (in the red cap) is Ron Thall, aka Bumblefoot, who replaced Buckethead.

Have they released Chinese Democracy yet? It's like 8 years over due isn't it?

What a way to screw up a band...The Spaghetti Incident...then replacing everybody....oh man what a boondogle.

8 years ? More than that, unfortunately. But it's supposedly done, 3 CDs worth, and momentum seems to actually show a release this year.

Regarding screwing up the band, the other members left. Steven was the only one who was fired.

May I recommend LimeWire????

They have every demo+RockinRio live.

IMO, GNR isn't that good...

IRS is a good song though.

Axl stole Robin Finck from NIN. Puckin loser...

He is good.

Never tried that although I do have all the Chinese Democracy demos. Can't wait to hear the real thing.

Why does it take 200 years to come up with a new album?

I could see it happen if Axl had side projects like MJKeenan (Tool, APC, Puscifer, etc.) does...but...

Obviously there's no good answer to that. But if they eventually get the 3 CDs or so of material out, that'll make me very happy. Axl is a perfectionist which partly explains it but there are others of the same mindset who actually get CDs out. Regardless, he is what he is - IMO a creative genius and a greatly original, though not technical impressive, singer. And I can't wait for some new stuff.

Why does anyone take Axl seriously???

The other members of the REAL band are together and producing decent music under a new name (they did the Italian Job soundtrack)

Velvet Revolver blows. Well they don't blow but they are very average and sound a lot more like STP than GnR.

Like it or not, Axl was the genius behind GnR. He's a flawed genius for sure, unfortunately.

He was a lot of the attitude but it's not GnR without the other guys too. What if, instead of calling them Wings, Paul McCartney called his new band the Beatles?

As for Velvet Revolver, it sounds like the rest of the band's lineup never really matured musically in any direction and Scott Weiland does make them sound like STP, although STP's bassist was the one who laid out and wrote all the parts of their songs
