UFO disrupts air traffic in east China

HANGZHOU, July 8 (Xinhua) -- An unidentified flying object disrupted air traffic over Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang Province, late Wednesday, the municipal government said Thursday.

Xiaoshan Airport was closed after the UFO was detected at around 9 p.m. and some flights were rerouted to airports in Ningbo and Wuxi cities, said an airport spokesman.

The airport had resumed operations and more details would be revealed after an investigation, he said.

I've been there a few times. Famously pretty city with a nice lake.

So, do you think the aliens were just sightseeing or did they want something else?

Probably just checking out the overrated lake and then left mildly disappointed, like I did.

I was wondering if perhaps they were looking for Chinese takeout. Do they have Chinese takeout in China?

Actually, I'm curious to know if there any "normal" American type restaurants that aren't chains (ie: McDonalds, KFC, etc.) over there?

There are some in well developed large cities.

Fweh - I was getting worried there for awhile - there's been a dearth of UFO reports lately...

In this day and age where everyone has a camera/video with them at all times with their phone you'd think the number of UFO sightings, pictures and videos would be off the charts... and yet, you see very little of these reports these days (well, fewer now that the only one decent newspaper on the planet, the Weekly World News has gone under.)

I'd love there to be actual UFOs though - but sadly it still seems like science fiction to think we've been visited routinely.

Do they have Italian restaurants there? It would be pretty cool to see a pizza place with a Chinese man named "Jay" dressed in a stained white V-Neck T-Shirt with his hair greased back cursing every other word at his drivers.
