Please tell me you know how realistic it was from being an observer as a doctor, nurse, EMT, orderly, janitor, anything but as a parent

Unfortunately 17 years ago, my wife and I stood in a similar ER and lived out that same nightmare scenario when our son died. He bled to death a day after having a tonsillectomy and in his last act, we donated his organs to help others.
The camera shots of Leary and his TV wife could have been us and were likely written by a bereaved parent. I watched the scene once and change the channel when it comes on now.
In the five plus years that I have been a member of Patfans.com, I don't think that I have ever mentioned it, at least not publicly.

Many years ago, there was a car parked for a long time across the street from my house with two gentlemen in it. My father and another neighbor went over to see what was going on. They were police officers waiting for the homeowner (our neighbor) to come home and tell her that her teenage son had drowned in a pool across town.
The wail that the mother gave out when she was informed sends chills down my spine to this day. I was in high school at the time, same age as the victim and wrote about my observations for a high school English paper. I got a C+ with the comment , “not realistic”. Little did the teacher know that I was writing about my observations not some creative writing piece.

Oh no! I'm SO sorry. I simply can't imagine what that would have been like.

The Perfect Storm's a good mention. Haven't seen it since it first came out, but remember the last seen vividly.

Signs - The end of the movie after MacCauley Culkin's brother gets gassed by the alien and Gibson's character keeps saying "his lungs were closed, the poison couldn't get in", and the kid finally wakes up. Good stuff.

The camera work in Oliver Stone's former films - sure, it may seem his "Look at me! I'm a great director!" camera-work may seem just that, but they really hit you in the gut. In particular, his work on "JFK" and "Nixon".

As for other movies - the climax of "Ocean's 11" when the heist is completed, and everyone escapes but Danny Ocean(Clooney).

The scene in "True Lies" where Jamie Lee Curtis tries to shoot that machine gun at terrorists, but instead mishandles it, and it falls down on the stairs shooting off and knocking out all the terrorists.

The climax of "The Abyss" where Ed Harris finally meets the creatures way at the bottom of the ocean, and gets shown stuff by them over why calamities happen on the earth like tsunamis et al.

"Navy Seals" - when Charlie Sheen and the NS team make it all the way to water near their sub, only to keep fighting the terrorists in the last stretch.

7. A Beautiful Mind - Pretty much the whole damn movie. Specifically, though, the scene where he has to say goodbye to the imaginary little girl.

first, so sorry to hear that. There really aren't words, I guess.

The Rescue Me scene is a great call.

And your story re the cops reminds me, many scenes in that movies Taking Chance as well as much of the book Final Salute (that movie and bk have a lot in common but I don't think they're related in any way)

It's been awhile since I've seen a movie, but the last one I saw was a Jim Carrey movie early in 2009-typical Carey movie, but typical ending where you come out very satisfied, and very satisfied the SAME WAY other Carrey movies resolve to be.
