Good movie. I saw it at the theater. The Cold War premise doesn't work now, though.

I think it was just on TV not too long ago. I used to watch it a lot at a video store I used to work at in High School. I was only allowed to watch G or PG movies. Saw Contact about 9 million times.

I saw it in the theaters at the time it came out and hated it. If it wasn't the sequel to 2001 I might have liked it more. In comparison it held no mystery, it had to explain everything and had one of the stupidest endings in movie history.

Wow, you're brutal. I thought it was a fun adventure film with a positive, upbeat ending.
