If anyone noticed, I haven't been posting much over the last week or so. That's because my wife had surgery last week and we both underestimated how much it would take her out of commission. She had one of those lap bands put in - the device that goes around your stomach and makes it smaller, so you aren't as hungry, so you don't eat as much. Turns out her system wasn't as fond of the idea and last week was kinda rough on her, but this morning she saw a specialist who figured out what the problem was and now she's doing great.

On top of it, the night I brought her home from the hospital I had a sinus attack and was practically bedridden myself for three days.

Now that things are finally getting back to normal, I'll be contributing to the forums again.

Wishing you guys the best. That's so frustrating to hear because it's supposedly safer and less dangerous, so I'm sorry to hear you're wife is going through that. Hope she continues to get better. As for you I hope you're also feeling better - we definitely need you here

You are correct Sir, yes!

A lap band is a device that squeezes around the stomach to make it smaller which makes you less hungry. Gastric bypass is where they actually cut out part of your stomach or intestines or something.
