Default !!Cheap Beer Alert!!

Rights purchased by some RI folks, Narragansett Beer is back (2006) and from all reports it's finally returned to what it was before Falstaff messed it up. I haven't opened one yet but I just bought a 12pack at Market Basket for $5.99!! That's cans or bottles! Narry was an ideal tailgating/Sunday couch beer in the distant past and at this price is an absolute steal. I'll chill one up tonight and try it out but I'd run to the nearest Market Basket and load up - it can't be that bad. And this is coming from a Sam Adams Octoberfest freak. Note - this beer must be served very cold, preferably buried in a ice/water slurry for a couple hours. You won't be able to keep them in the bottle!!

Troy Brown has an ownership share in Narragansett too, if that makes it any better.

You should send some north of the border to see if it meets our high standards for beer

Our provincial liqour stores finally got Sam Adams Boston lager in last year, I hope they bring in other types of Sam Adams beer. Everytime I come back from the states, there's clanking noise in trunk of the car. Hmmm....

This offseason, it's almost like Belichick is saying, "I'm never going to let that happen again."

Which Market Basket? Troy Brown works for Narry now. Was a great beer years ago (50's and 60's). A bunch of those (long-neck bottles) in an aluminum tub with 2 bags of ice on top at 12:45 p.m. on game day - nirvana...
