Overdose of Oxyclean?

Some people/careers are like a shootingstar. Billy seemed to come out of nowhere a few years ago to be the mother of all pichmen. He burned brightly for a short period of time, and then burned out.
Better to burn out than rust away.

I'm 55 and it seemed Mays camme out of nowhere about 7-8 years ago. He would appear and say "Hello Billy Mays here" and i thought to myself "who the **** is Billy Mays"
So do you notice that more and more you don't know who people are such as:

Rihana

Jon and Kate

Lady Gaga

It used to be Lindsay, Lindsay did this and Lindsay did that. Lindsay cracked her car up, Lindsay goes into rehab, Lindsay checks out of Rehab and crackes her car up again. Lindsay and Daniel shop Miami, Lindsay reveals shes bisexual etc.

I know there are more i just can't think of them. All of a sudden someone i never heard of ever is in the news being reffered to with one name like i'm supposse to know who they are. Does this happen to you or anyone else.

He did come out of nowhere with that Oxyclean a few years ago and just took off from there when it hit big, and really he's not matched with his shtick of being loud, up front, and hocking his product so over the top that you wouldn't forget it when you saw it in the stores or would buy it just to get rid of him...

She had been around for about two or three years before her abuse situation...a couple of huge hits already so hardly out of the blue.

They were on air for two years before their problems started and were actually one of their top shows despite the huge boost in ratings. For a while they were taking over the network with their show's airings...

This is the real out of the blue person...a couple of hit songs that you can't get out of your head in a good way that shot out of the blue last fall.

Give it a week or two, more "who the heck is that" and more Lindsay or Britney or Paris news will be back...for now those are the flavors of the month.

A shame to see him go, the guy set the bar for pitchmen that I doubt will ever be surpassed.

One person I feel sorry for is Anthony Sullivan, his reality show with Billy Mays won't make it to season two...funny it just wrapped up it's first season this past Wednesday no less
