Michael Jackson so totally morphed from the cute little boy who sang "ABC,easy as 123"... then there was "Beat It" , he did the moonwalk...he was an icon then all of a sudden he tipped his scales,my God

Whatever happened to him over the years, such a sad story and such an incredibly bizarre one at the same time. I remember when the Pepsi sign lit him on fire, then he had the glove, then suddenly he developed some kind of skin disease. He always had an umbrella, he used to wear a mask, all his surgeries...his story really is a sad one.

RIP and I look forward to the book. His life took a very strange and tragic journey and you really wonder how he got to where he finally ended up.

So what's the over/under on how soon the "he's not really dead - it's all a charade because he wants privacy" a la Elvis and Jim Morrison theories begin?

(And as an aside, Mark Sanford (of "Sanford and Hon" fame) has got to be pretty happy this media cycle blew his story of the top of the headlines)

So you mean he'll have tickets reserved for him at some stadium?

I remember people dancing to Thriller at the clubs when I was younger ... his music made people happy.

That's exactly what I was thinking would come out of this.

No matter what things he 'allegedly' did, he was a musical genius.

His videos still make me think 'wow'!

He will be missed.

Well-written. I'm actually watching all of his videos on MTV as I type.

Wasted genius. He has to be up there as one of the bigger wastes of talent in a long, long time.
