I used to be in the window business. Champion windows are very low quality. There are many other manufacturers I would consider. Check the Better Business Bureau to see how many issues they have.

For a second there I thought this was yet another story about Mangini's "voluntary" OTAs for rookies.

I believe that Champion windows are what my parents put in their house.. They have had good results with them.

I had Champion come out to my home for a buy 4 get one free deal and their prices were so out of line with similiar companies. I ended up buying Harvey windows thru a friend and I worked with him to install and saved a huge amount of money for a much more highly rated window.

I don't know anything about Champion, but I have a subscription to Consumer Reports and they rated Anderson's 400 series as a good buy. It scored well in most categories including durablity, so I guess I'd suggest getting a second estimate from them as well.
Also, here's a thread I did find regarding Champion windows: http://www.vinyl-replacement-windows...=1&i=336&t=336 Hopefully it's useful.
