Default OT: Replacement home windows

Has anybody ever tried putting champion windows in there house for replacement windows or know someone who has? If so, what did you or they think of them? What do you guys recommend

I used to be in the window business. Champion windows are very low quality. There are many other manufacturers I would consider. Check the Better Business Bureau to see how many issues they have.

For a second there I thought this was yet another story about Mangini's "voluntary" OTAs for rookies.

I believe that Champion windows are what my parents put in their house.. They have had good results with them.

I had Champion come out to my home for a buy 4 get one free deal and their prices were so out of line with similiar companies. I ended up buying Harvey windows thru a friend and I worked with him to install and saved a huge amount of money for a much more highly rated window.

I don't know anything about Champion, but I have a subscription to Consumer Reports and they rated Anderson's 400 series as a good buy. It scored well in most categories including durablity, so I guess I'd suggest getting a second estimate from them as well.
