Default South Shore Sports Bar

I live in Marshfield and I don't get NFL Network.

I'm looking for a favorite sports bar that stays open late, has good seating to watch the game, and good TVs that are close but positioned high so you can see past a hovering waiter.

But on a Thursday night after 8:30, they'll probably only be Pats fans anyway.

I'll probably bring my own radio so I can listen to the venerable Gil and Gino.

Cohasset, Scituate, Marshfield, Duxbury, Pembroke, Hanover are all within range. My own favorite bar (the upstairs pub at the Mill Wharf) closes too early.

Thanks!

I am pretty sure the game will be broadcast locally on ABC just like ESPN games are. So if you are looking to go to a bar just to see the game, you might want to check your channel guide for Thursday night on ABC.

Absolutely right!!! ABC is listing it. Well, that's a relief.

Never mind!

I live in Marshfield and do get NFL Network. Switch from Senator Comcast's company to Verizon Fios and get a better picture, sound and more channels at a lower price. There internet access is also better.

There's only two conclusions for Patriots fans on rookies. They are either a bust or being fitted for their bust in Canton.

Gotta love the Mill Wharf and the sunday brunch. I haven't tried it but TK O'Malleys across the harbor has been listed by South Shore Magazine as the best sports bar. I live in Hingham so I usually go to the Snug if I'm going out.

TKO Malley's is the best sports bar going.

Sad, that when I grew up in Scituate, it didn't exist. Now that I live in VA, it exists, but it's a 9 hour commute.

Although, I must admit, I get to watch more New England sports teams live, from the comfort of my own home than when I lived up North.

I live in La Jolla Ca now but still have family in Scituate. I agree with the folks that mentioned T.K. O'Malleys...it is the place to go in Scituate to watch sports.

Is Fios really better? I'm building a house in Abington and haven't decided whether I would switch to Fios (coming from a town that doesn't have Fios), stay with Comcast, or go DirecTV.

How's the multiroom DVR? Does it do HD in multirooms?

Go to the AVS Forum for detailed geek answers but yes the multiroom does HD multiroom but remember it does not have additional disk space storage.

Wish I could get Verizon FIOS in NH but our brilliant govt just drove them outa the state so I'm stuck with Comcrap (no clear satellite path). FIOS is less $ than Comcast for phone, TV and internet by a huge margin. FIOS bandwidth (read quality) is superior.
