Default So What's the Going Rate for Babysitters ?

What do you usually pay babysitters ? About 6 hours, two kids ages 8 & 10. Never done it before, my wife and I usually stay with them or occasionally our parents. But between deaths, major illnesses and general aging the grandparents are less of an option now.

OK, thanks, my gut feeling was $20 per kid but I really had no idea.

Ya 30 years ago.

$10-15/hours these days.

There's only two conclusions for Patriots fans on rookies. They are either a bust or being fitted for their bust in Canton.

$15 an hour ? So if you're gone for a night, say, 5-11, you're paying a babysitter $100 ? I don't really care for this one time thing but it's no wonder people have no money if they're throwing money around like that. Wow.

That is the age when the kids are a real handful for a babysitter too. I know mine would want constant attention. 50-60 for 6 hours. You want someone to want to come back too. $30 is too little IMO.

It's actually going to be real easy as it's with her brother of about the same age so the three boys will just be playing video games and eating the pizza we'll get for the whole crew before we leave. Anyway, it sounds like 50-60 will be about right - she'll also be getting another 20-30 from her parents for that third kid I mentioned.
