Default BROCKTON - good town?

Mrs. PFnV and I are traveling up for the 'Phins game on the 20th-21st. We wanted to get a room with a whirlpool that you could smoke in, and we're tentatively booked in Brockton, MA, about 9 miles from the stadium.

Does this mean I will die or anything? I have no idea, being a Virginian since age 6 (and yes, a Patriots fan longer.)

Opinions welcome,

PFnV

You'll be fine.

How are you planning on getting to Gillette?

I'm figuring we'll probably take a cab, given that stadium parking will probably cost more than the cab ride.

We're driving up from VA, seeing my mom on the way Friday, then driving straight back Monday.

Any tips on cost/availability of stadium parking?

Brockton is def not the nicest of areas, but it's not THAT bad. As for the cab vs. Parking debate. Just pay the $40 to park. With traffic on RT 1 for homes games, that fare will surely run you more than $40 round trip.

Enjoy!

i grew up in brockton and got out 6 years ago. its now a dump of a city. if i were you i would try and go somewhere else. brockton is a bad choice. any city thats had the guardian angels patroling the streets isnt good. the hotels are **** holes also. i know i have delivered to them doing my job.
