Default Desert Island CDs - with a twist

We've all probably played the "name 10 CDs you would take with you if you were to be stranded on a desert island forever" game.

Here's a twist though.

Name the FEWEST ARTISTS you could happily survive with if you get to take their entire discography. Remember, the goal is to have as few as possible. You want artists that have lots of CDs to give you some variety but there might be a band that has 10 CDs of which you only like one but you HAVE TO have it.

Mine :

Iron Maiden - my favorite band so they're coming.
Guns n Roses - I love Axl.
Dream Theater - have to have something progressive, they just edge out Yes.
Elton John - huge discography, have to have something soft.

I think I can live with those four. Although there's many others I'd miss terribly.

I love music but if I really had to think I'd probrably just be happy with Dr Dre, Wu-Tang Clan and Guns n Roses. Dre for 2001 alone even though The Chronic is a classic itself. Wu-Tang has that heavy sound in most tracks that I love, plus contains some great artists in hip hop such as Method man and O.D.B. and Guns n Roses just made some quality music. Paradise City is a song I could play over and over, also a change from Hip Hop.
