Default Please draft a TALL CB

For the love of God, can the Pats please draft a CB that they can successfully line up with a 6' 4" receiver? We all saw CBs struggle to go up with Moss last year, and the multiple receptions that Plax had that midget Hobbs had no chance on (due to height).

Even if its a depth move and not a starter, we need a tall CB!!

Do you have a recommendation, or are you just venting? FYI, just went through the top- 25 CB's(draftscout.com) and none are taller than 6' 1". Of those Moulden might be a fit, Reggie Smith is almost certainly a conversion project to Safety.

Darnell Terrell would be my pick. good height and athletic. I dont think they will go with Molden due to some of his intelligence issues.

Patience then. He should be available in the 6th round.

I'll take speed, brains and playmaking ability over height - anyday.

Terrell & Molden raise red flags on field vision and awareness, not the area I'd like to compromise on. I'll take Reggie Smith & Chevis Jackson as good-sized players who fit the Pats profile better.

Not to put you on the spot, but I don't remember a single play all year where Hobbs got outjumped for the ball. Ball skills, athleticism and a good vert can erase any height advantage pretty quickly. I want guys who can stick to receivers and make breaks out of zone. If once or twice a season they get there and a 6'4 WR outjumps them for the ball, so be it.

In response to your question, I believe that Terrell Thomas would have been a far better choice at CB than Wheatley.

Every scouting report gave Thomas much higher grades than Wheatley And on top of it all Wheatly is damaged goods.

Physically speaking he may make it to the hospital quicker than he will the roster.
