WOW.....worst post ever, but reading the responses provided plenty of laughs.
In the spirit of that "trick up the sleeve" - here is what we do.
Assuming that both Longs, Gohlston and Dorsey are all taken by the time they get to us and assume that no one is looking to trade, then, we probably would be looking for a CB, but #7 is just too high to take one, simply too costly.
We just keep letting other teams select, until we finally drop low enough to a spot that make sense from the rookie salary perspective.
All we need is to have two players, sort of like playing "deal or no deal" in that you have your big money slot and one or two more as safety nets.
That way, as we keep dropping, when one of the two or three we have selected are taken, well then we jump in and hand the other one in.
This way - someone like Chromartie & McKelvin or Jenkins could be written down and if they both slip on down to say #12 - we get our guy at 12 or 13 instead of 7 - brilliant!!
