Default NFLfans.com/draft 4 round interactive mock

Every year I take part as the Patriots GM in an interactive mock. This weekend we completed a four round mock draft. Here is how it ended up for the Pats

1. Mike Jenkins CB USF
I wasn't there for this pick and the guy running the draft lost my list that sent in. Not a terrible choice but would have gotten McFadden or Rivers if I was there.

2. Ezra Butler LB Nevada
Slight reach, but the LB were flying off the board and I wanted to secure a player that has the ability and experience to play inside and outside in the 3-4.

3A. Ahtyba Rubin DT Iowa State
Could use a big nose tackle to play behind Wilfork. This guy is rising up the boards and I felt this was good value.

3B. Dwight Lowery CB San Jose State
With all of our potential FA losses at CB, I thought adding an athletic playmaker like Lowery was a good move. He should have the ability to also backup FS and contribute on special teams.

4. Tom Zbikowski S Notre Dame
Another guy to add depth to our secondary and improve our special teams play. Decent return option and I think he would blossom under Harrison's tutelage.

Not the best of drafts, but definitely one I wouldn't complain with. I went all defense including three new DBs. Let me know what you think.

Not a bad draft on Defensive side but i wouldn't go with a DT on Day 1. We have pretty decent dept there so i think Day 2 would be a better DT option. That said, i wouldn't mind two LB's and two CB's on Day 1. I think both positions have plenty of dept in this Draft. And if we hit on a couple this Team would be pretty set for the future.

I'm not sold on Jenkins, but I really like the rest of the players drafted. I don't know what was available at the time, as the link requires registration.

I might have been tempted by Goff with the first third rounder, especially since Rubin and Red Bryant were still on the board at that point and Jenkins isn't my favourite cornerback, but overall you can't really argue with the picks that were made.
