We got a huge protector for our most important piece of the puzzle, a potential breakaway RB who can catch, run, and block. Stole the highest rated QB (on our board anyway), and someone who was projected to go in the first round by many...in the THIRD round. He has a rocket for an arm, and a HOF QB to learn under. It may also improve the immediate need of a backup QB within the next yr or so, at worst we carry 3 QB's again.
Also picked up a potentially good, tall and athletic CB, who would have gone higher had he not experienced injury. He instantly adds potential for a younger, faster, and more future-based secondary + adds to special teams.
Think positive.

I would have to agree that there has been an improvement. As stated above Solder, Dowling and Vereen all upgrade our roster. For the future, Mallett should either have value as a player or as a QB to trade similar to Cassel. I'll just have to see Ridley in there before I make a determination, but I like his size. Could be a beast or a bust.
