I can never get enough mock drafting. Haven't really brushed up on available rookies yet but I would seriously doubt in BB would take a first round RB. Definitely need to replace Morris and Taylor very soon but not in 1st. If they can find 1-2 impact D players they will be SB favorites for years to come.

I do think he will hope to get the DE/OLB he covets but we all know he won't reach for anyone. Have been watching B Carter for a while but injury is concerning. I think Cunningham has shown flashes and with another year in system could be a very good OLB. Still need someone to challenge Ninkovich and add depth.

Not sure if there is a top S in this year's draft but Meriweather doesn't seem to be a BB type of player (too undisciplined). I think they will look to replace him.

If we are to assume BB does trade Meriweather, what about moving Arrington to safety? With Bodden and Wilhite returning, along with (hopefully) more development by Butler, he may not see much of any playing time at corner. If he could make the switch to safety then the Pats could focus on other positions in the draft. I know you would prefer someone bigger at safety, but look at his play on special teams; that's what one would expect from a safety, not a cornerback.

Prince falling to 20?

Forget DE. Give me Prince at 15 and Justin Houston at 32 and I'd be ecstatic.

I think switching Arrington to safety deserves its own thread and is an interesting idea.

Ditto..

His size and the style of his play is compatible with Ed Reed..not saying he has the skill set but the idea of him Chung patrolling the secondary is quite appealing

Plus cb is deep in this draft..think jenkins or harris ..I like Bodden coming back but I want that postion to be stocked and having butler as the slot cb might be the best fit

FYI Ed Reed is 5'11'' 201; Arrington is just 5'9" 192. I think a lot of people overestimate Arrington's size because he does play a lot like a safety.

Returning to the topic at hand...what leaps out at me about that mock draft is the rather random assortment of juniors included. For instance, Marcell Dareus is nowhere to be found, nor Mark Ingram. It kind of renders everything else meaningless.

But just using the names available, I'd take Prince Amukamara happily at #16.

Exactly. And he wouldn't necessarily have to be a CB. He could be a .... wait for it ... FREE SAFETY!
