Default Chris Houston

Do the PATS draft Chris Houston at #24 if he is still there?

I do not think so, but I would like to hear other opinions.

My opinion is I might draft Houston if he was sitting there at #127 but it could be a wasted 4th rounder.

I have to agree.... I don't think Houston is on the Pats board.

I doubt it, it seems he's kind of raw.

Maybe they draft him if they think he has great potential. BB like Ahmad Carroll supposedly....I wanted the pats to draft him actually.

Alot of times it's attitude that determines if someone will be a bust.

Not saying Houston has a bad one, but he is supposed to be a big talker. As is Josh Wilson.

we brought him in..we've met him and interviewed/worked out

..so hes on our radar or was at least unless he did something negative.

why wouldnt he be on our radar besides that hes got questions regarding run support? James doesnt tackle either and we signed him and Asante had his questions.

i think Houston would be a nice fit for us..hes very physical, fast and strong. A little coaching can get him to hit the runningbacks more often and come up. Hes a pretty good fit imo and hes definatley on the board

He seems to get a bad rap due to his run support - I doubt that will be a problem in his pro career though. He seems to have the mentality, strength and tackling ability to be an excellent run supporter. He's probably just a little raw and undeveloped. He's mostly being compared to seniors with a lot more starting experience.

Samuel had a very similar scouting report coming out of UCF. Houston is faster though and has played in the SEC against the likes of Meachem, Bowe, and Rice.

Rice is the only WR that really beat him a few times. Rice gave ihm a hard time..turned him a few times while Meachem-Jarrett were dominated

Yes and Assante was a 4th rounder, Houston is a physical specimin that has risen up the draft mocks. Something tells me he will settle down to a 2nd rounder at best.
