Him and Woodley both still talk to Woods.

Woodley is the best player on that defense, I think he would fit in just fine here. Think Adalius Thomas only 7 years younger. I would be very happy to see him drafted by the patriots, and would have no problem if that pick happened in the 1st round.

Adalius is 4.5 speed with proven coverage ability

Woodley is 4.7-4.8 speed with no cover ability(none battle tested)

Woodley was not the best player on the defense. Branch was. then Hall and then Harris/Woodley

Coming out of College, a lot of publications had Thomas as an outside pass rusher, but didn't think much of him as a run or coverage defender.
To his credit Thomas worked really hard (some of this could be attributed to the influence of Ray Lewis) and he developed into the player he is today.
I see Woodley as the same player Thomas was 7 years ago. If Woodley can still have the fire and passion after he gets some money in his pockets, he has the potential to be a self made Thomas clone.

No, he was not. Not by a long shot.

Woodley, Harris, and Hall were the three key players on that defense last year. Woodley provided pressure in the passing game, Harris roamed around and demolished runningbacks all over, and Hall blanket covered nearly every player he faced. I wouldn't say any one of these things is most valuable, so I'm not going to say if any of these players are the best or not.

As for Branch, he applied pressure and stuffed up the middle, but he was probably the fourth best defender this year on the Wolverines' defense.
