Default Buh-bye, Binkys!

Apparently I'm a very good Picker-of-Prospects . . . for other teams. I should have known how it would go early Thursday night when Alualu, who I had the Pats taking at #44, went to Jackson-effing-ville at #10. EFFING NUMBER TEN OVERALL!! WHOO-HOO FOR ME!

Things continued on course in the 2nd round when three more of my Binkaroos (Saffold, Misi and Troup) went before the Pats moved up to get Gronkowski at #42. Two more - Gerhart and Worilds - went just before the Pats took Jermaine Cunningham at #53. Then another two - Tate and Hardesty - before the Pats took Spikes at #62. And, of course, Tate was taken with the pick we'd just traded out of at #58.

Carrington, Decker and Roberts went just before the Pats traded away the #89 for a 2011 2nd.

But the Grand Award Winner . . . The two guys I liked most at pass-rushing DE/OLB Hybrid, Graham and Te'o-Nesheim, BOTH went to Philly. Seriously. How is that even POSSIBLE??!! Should I apply for a job with the Eagles FO?

And then there's the additional shameful circumstance that Philly took Te'o-Nesheim with the #86, one pick after the #85 that the Pats traded last year for . . . . somebody who was supposed to be a very good pass-rushing DE/OLB, IIRC.

More fun to come!! For the final four rounds and Free Agency, I have about 18 more guys that I can just sit back and watch go elsewhere just before the Pats pick at #113, #150 and #205. Including:

Jeremy Williams
Joe Webb
Shay Hodge
Blair White
Seyi Ajirotutu
Mat Tennant
Ricky Sapp
Jamar Chaney
Kavell Conner
Doug Worthington
Lonyae Miller
Manase Tonga
Mike Kafka
Cody Grimm

The way things have gone so far, I can pretty much guarantee you that, come Sunday morning, ABSOUTELY ZERO of these guys will be Patriots.

And, furthermore,

So, what far-flung cities will YOUR binkys be playing in next season - instead of Foxboro?

And, it's not as if BB "skipped" my binkys in favor of someone else. It's just that most of them went higher than most sites/talking heads predicted they'd go. With Alualu and Te'o-Nesheim, more than a round higher.

While Saffold was going to be awkward to get to at the top of the 2nd round, some others . . . .

Misi - range 53-67, went at #40 (Gosselin nailed this).
Troup - range 56-92, went at #41
Gerhart - 56-65 (narrow!), went at #51 (close)
Worilds - 57-105, went at #52
Ben Tate - 49*-93, went at #58 (*Gosselin, again)
Hardesty - 62-93, went at #59
Roberts - 81*-117, went at #88 (*Gosselin, again)

For Te'o-Nesheim most predictions were around #130, he went at #86.

AFAIK, it's a favorite prospect - one who'd make you feel very comfortable if he were on your team. Perhaps related to "bwankey".

So. Apparently I am an unpaid scout for the Philadelphia Eagles. So far, I've nailed half their picks - Graham, Te'o-Nesheim and now Mike Kafka.

Since I've already posted my list of remaining preferred guys several times, obviously none of them have a chance to make it past the Iggles to the Pats' squad. Starting to work up a serious resentment for those bahstahds.

i have one left...Bount. He could come in a replace the old guys as our big back. pair him with Maroney (ugh), and that is a good 1-2 punch.

NOW 4 for 7 ON EAGLES PICKS (Ricky Sapp).

Seriously considering giving the Philly FO a call.

You said it. Philly pisses me off EVERY FRIGGIN YEAR!!!

Graham and DTN were my biggest binkies.
