Default 2009 mock draft FAIL thread

Once again, a chance for you to document any atrocious mock drafts you find. FAIL when it comes to the Patriots is my primary focus, of course, but any LOL-worthy drafts are fair game.

As I often do, I'll start with the good folks at Football's Future:

Quote:
28 New England- Jerry Hughes - OLB/DE - TCU
So far, so good (except for the Pats picking at 28). . . .

Quote:
42.New England(from/Tenn)- Jahvid Best - RB - California
49.New England(from Jax.)- Damian Williams - WR - USC
60.New England- Ryan Mathews - RB - Fresno St.

That's the point of this thread. . . . To share drafts that look like the maker(s) just threw darts at a list of players or something.

OK, I'll go back to playing my guitar and stay out of the way.

LMFAO! I mean, I would take one of those 3 (preferably Mathews) but what person would draft 2 runningbacks in the first two rounds

Consider this one from Walter Football (dated 11/26):

27. Jahvid Best, RB, Cal. Nice player, but concussion is an issue and I don't see him being a 3 down player for the Pats.
45. Von Miller, LB, Texas A&M. Undersized pass rusher who lacks the size and strength to set the edge and play the run. Brandon Graham and Sergio Kindle are still on the board, as well as Eric Norwood and Jeremy Beal.
51. Arthur Jones, DE, Syracuse. Decent pick.
58. Eric Decker, WR, Minnesota. With OT/OG Gabe Carimi, RBs Ryan Mathews and Jonathan Dwyer, and DE/OLBs Eric Norwood and Jeremy Beal still on the board.

I'd rather have the following:

27. DE/elephant Carlos Dunlap or Everson Griffen, or DE/OLB Jerry Hughes
45. DE Arthur Jones or Corey Wootten, or OT/OG Gabe Carimi
51. RB Jonathan Dwyer or Ryan Mathews, or OT/OG Gabe Carimi
58. DE/OLBs Jeremy Beal or Eric Norwood.

DE Cameron Heyward and Allen Bailey, OG/C Maurkice Pouncey, and DE/OLB Jason Pierre-Paul and Greg Romeus don't figure in this draft, so I assume they think those guys are staying in school.

This is an excellent one to start off with. These picks are so terrible, the site must be run by JETS fans.

It's a site where anyone—including JEST fans—can make a mock.

To be fair, the guy claims he simply forgot that he had given the Pats Best when he gave them Mathews, although that's still FAIL in my book.

More fun from Football's FAIL:

Quote:
27.New England Patriots-C.J. Spiller, RB-Clemson
This guy is just a playmaker. I know Maroney has played good as of late, but you dont pass up a chance to get a baller of C.J's kind. He has done it all at Clemson, and that type of versatility gets you a nice spot on the Pats roster.
No explanations for the second-rounders. And given what he comes up with, who can blame him?

Quote:
48.New England Patriots(From JAX)-George Selvie, OLB/DE-USF
49.New England Patriots(From TEN)-Tim Tebow, QB/Hback-Florida
59.New England Patriots-Brandon LaFell, WR-LSU

That's really pathetic.
