Default My first round NFL Mock draft

I will be updating this next week!!!

ROUND 1:

1. Detroit Lions- Matthew Stafford, QB, Georgia
Culpepper wont get it done, Lions grab the "best" QB in this years draft.

2. St. Louis Rams- Jason Smith, OT, Baylor
Will help the offensive line to give Bulger time to throw.

3. Kansas City Chiefs- Aaron Curry, OLB, Wake Forest
They grab Curry the best OLB in the market to learn under the great Mike Vrabel.

4. Seattle Seahawks- Michael Crabtree, WR, Texas Tech
Seahawks could also go QB, but with their receiving corp not getting any younger they grab the best WR in the draft.

5. Cleveland Browns- Brian Orakpo, DE/OLB, Texas
Willie McGinest wont be back so they grab Orakpo.

6. Cincinnati Bengals- Michael Oher, OT, Mississippi
They want to protect Palmer so they grab an OT.

7. Oakland Raiders- Percy Harvin, WR, Florida
Al Davis is crazy who would take him!

8. Jacksonville Jaguars- B.J. Raji, DT, Boston College
Jags need to upgrade their defense and its best to start at the D-line

9. Green Bay Packers- Aaron Maybin, DE/OLB, Penn State
In need of a Pass Rusher, they grab Maybin to be their OLB in their new 3-4 defense.

10. San Francisco 49ers- Eugene Monroe, OT, Virginia
Again, another team in need of a QB, but their Oline isnt protecting so they grab Monroe.

11.Buffalo Bills- B. Pettigrew, TE, Oklahoma State
Owens, Pettigrew, Edwards. This would give Edwards more weapons.

12. Denver Broncos- Mark Sanchez, QB, USC
After trading their whiney franchise QB, They need a new one to develop under Orton. They pick up Sanchez that played a pro style offense.

13. Washington Redskins- Everette Brown, DE, Florida State
They lost Jason Taylor, so they pick up this DE.

14. New Orleans Saints- Chris Wells, RB, Ohio State
They go RB to compliment Reggie Bush!

15. Houston Texans- Malcolm Jenkins, CB/FS, Ohio State
Texans looking to upgrade their secondary.

16. San Diego Chargers- Andre Smith, OT, Alabama
Their Oline is getting old time to get younger.

17. New York Jest- Josh Freeman, QB, Kansas State
Jest need a new QB after losing Favre. Whoever the Jests pick is destined to bust!!

18. Denver Broncos- Rey Maualuga, ILB, USC
McDaniels will try to upgrade their defense.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Knowshon Moreno, RB, Georgia
Tampa is rebuilding so a great RB will fit what they need.

20. Detroit Lions- Eben Britton, OT, Arizona
They have their QB, now they need an OT to protect their new investment.

21. Philadelphia Eagles- Darius Heyward-Bey, WR, Maryland
McNabb has been B i t c h i n g about not having a playmaker. They pick up Heyward who runs a 4.3

22. Minnesota Vikings- Robert Ayers, DE, Tennesse
Their depth at DE is getting old. They grab Ayers to play on the other side of Allen.

23. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS- CONNOR BARWIN, OLB/DE/TE, Cincinnati
I think Barwin would be the best for us. Hes versatile. Can play 3 positions and can get to the QB. The Patriots pick up our Pass Rusher.

24. Atlanta Falcons- Jerry Peria, DT, Mississippi
Falcons turned it around last season and is looking to compete again in the playoffs. They take the next best DT on the board.

25. Miami Dolphins- Vontae Davis, CB, Illinois
Miami needs to upgrade their secondary to compete with Moss and Owens.

26. Baltimore Ravens- Brian Cushing, OLB, USC
Losing Bart Scott to the Jest. They grab the Pass Rushing from USC.

27. Indianapolis Colts- Hakeem Nicks, WR, UNC
Losing Marvin Harrison, they grab a great hands receiver.

28. Philadelphia Eagles- LeSean McCoy, RB, Pittsburgh
Brian Westbrook isnt getting any younger so they grab the best RB on the board.

29. New York Giants- Jeremy Maclin, WR, Missouri
Burress is out so they replace him with a younger receiver.

30. Tennessee Titans- Evander Hood, DT, Missouri
Losing Haynesworth they grab Ziggy to block the middle.

31. Arizona Cardinals- Clay Matthews, OLB, USC
Cards get younger at OLB.

32. Pittsburgh Steelers- Michael Johnson, DE, Georgia Tech
Steelers add a young DE to their depth chart.

Looks pretty good. Most of it I can see happening. Micheal Johnson is too high, and Everett Brown is too low.

Tampa Bay has Derrick Ward, Earnest Graham and Cadillac Williams, so I can't see them taking another RB. I would expect them to go for a DT, DT or OLB instead. I would also think Maclin would go before Perry, and Moreno before Wells, but that's just my opinion; we'll find out soon enough.

Nice job with the mock.

Good read

The only thing is I do not see Eugene Monroe sliding behind Oher IMO and the Bills are looking for a pass rush so I think Brown will be the pick there. Other then that looks pretty good.

Nice job with the mock.
Even though IMO Moreno is the best RB in the draft, Wells would compliment Reggie Bush a lot better as the power back who carries the load. With Deuce McAllister being released they get their replacement with Chris Wells.

I've said this a couple times, but theres no way Denver drafts Sanchez. No way.

McDaniels wants Orton, whether or not you think thats wise. That pick will be used on a defensive player.
