The Pats have drafted Larry English, Louis Delmas and Tyson Jackson with their first three picks in the draft and are up at No. 58 in the second round. Who's the pick here? These are the best remaining prospects, according to draftcountdown.com. Just a mock I'm working on. I'm thinking Williams from Penn State, I get a feeling he is going to be one of the better receivers in this year's draft.

I don't like any of the picks available on your board, which is one of the reasons I can see us trading up from #58 (58 + 89 get us to around #43 or so). Based on what I see, all of the OL options are gone (Jamon Meredith, Eric Wood, Max Unger), we've already taken DL, LB and S.
James Casey would have been my pick, but we don't need another TE right now. Brian Robiskie might be worth it, but I think he has a limited upside. So with that in mind, I would trade the pick into 2010.

I would take the best WR on the board (Derrick Williams or Juaquin Iglesias) then go OL at #89. I really think that there are some good OL value especially at Guard and Center that can be found in the 3rd or 4th round this year.
Nice draft so far though.

There is some great TE value as pointed out where you are sitting right now. I know we have a few established TE's but none under a long term contract and a young kid to push them would be nice. I really think that one of our TE's is going to be cut or traded at some point with a young guy getting drafted.
I would probably go Luigs. but you would be justified by taking your pick of Robiskie, Williams, or Iglesias at WR, Francies, or perhaps Coffman or Nelson for TE. Coffman's foot is still < 80%...so he's a good candidate for PUP or IR redshirt.

Almost exactly my thoughts, though I'd also toss in Gerald Cadogan as a dark-horse OL.

That's unlike you. His vertical, broad jump, 40 splits, 3 Cone, and shuttle are all among the worst of the OLs. I think Lang or Murtha probably make more sense if you want to reach for a tackle.
