Rob Rang's Early Mock
There's no way the Pats would let the Vikings take Alphonso Smith at #22 and then take Vontae Davis at #23.
They won't take a corner like Davis period. IMO, his "football speed" is too slow for the Pats and NFL receivers. Fixed. Last edited by TheKraftyOne; 02-06-2009 at 09:41 AM.. |

I have a fair amount of respect for Rob Rang - he seems to be one of the better draft evaluators out there - but I don't see Vontae Davis being on the Pats' board. Alphonso Smith may be short, but I'll wager BB would take lack of height over lack of effort and consistency any day.
