Default How great is Clady?

This kid is tremendous. Watching that Denver game was a treat if you like good LT play. If the draft were done over, he would go ahead of J. Long.

I watched the Giant St Louis game.

C. Long is going to be a good NFL player. He is relentless, quick and strong. He picked up his first sack. However, he needs to bulk up to 280 again to play strong side DE. He was facing a very good O-line and was frequently double teamed. OTOH, Carriker was not impressive.

It will be interesting to watch C. Long's progress. I feel he is better suited to 3-4 OLB than 4-3 DE.

Groves had a sack and a forced fumble for the Jags.

I still think Groves >>>> Gholston over the long run, IMO. Groves has a much better chance of being a complete OLB who can drop in coverage and set the edge.

I was big on Clady going into the draft, but I think he just wasn't on this team's radar for whatever reason.

I couldn't be happy with we who have in Mayo, but it will be interesting to see these guys going forward.

I have seen parts of both the Denver games, Clady has looked very good. In both the run and pass he looks like a 5 year vet. Good pick by the Broncos.

If you are looking at pass protection, Clady looks great, if it is 3rd and 2 then you do not run behind Clady, he's a leaner not a drive blocker. We'll see how his shoulders hold up over the course of a full season.

Just think if we had Groves and Mayo (surprising me tremendously thus far) at LB this year for us. Even if Groves was only a situational outside speed edge rusher. We could sit Vrabel on 3rd downs and keep him from wearing down later in the season or move Thomas inside for Bruschi and let Thomas use his speed to cover TE"s and RB's.

I still can not believe we passed on an opportunity (by not trading up in the second round; Crable has not played a snap for us and Wheatley is not much more of a factor; by sending our 2nd and a third rounder to someone above Jacksonville could have gotten us Groves) to get a premier pass rusher in a year when we sent a premier pass rusher to the HOF!!!!!! AAAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!!!!!
