Default 2013 Draft- Weak? Strong? Average?

Just starting to get into this years draft a little. My impression a month ago was this years draft was one of the weakest overall since 2008.

However with the record number of underclassmen declaring this year I don't have a clue as to where it stands overall right now.

So I'm asking some of you guys who have been involved longer, what is your opinion of the draft class and what positions are the strongest and what are the weakest.

The QB class still appears to be weak. How about the other positions?

Top-weak, middle-heavy. Should play into Belichick's hand perfectly.

A lot of GM's will say the draft is poor because they don't want to take any heat if they don't do well. Same old...same old. The top 10 does appear to be lacking elite prospects though.

The positional breakdown favors the Patriots' needs quite well too. Very middle-class heavy WR, DT, and S classes, and pretty good G/C class. The first three are major positions of need. The positions that look very dry are QB (we don't need one), RB (we don't need one), and CB (we dare not try to draft one).

I'd say its deep...but the top tier talent is limited. lots of solid prospects though.

Centers - aside from the top two, abysmal draft class
Offensive Guards - aside from the top two, very weak draft class
Offensive Tackles - mixed reviews
Wide Receivers - solid draft class
Safeties - solid draft class
Cornerbacks - solid draft class

Top five needs:

Cornerback
Wide Receiver
Safety
Offensive Tackle (if Sebastian Vollmer departs via unrestricted free agency)
Offensive Guard (if Donald Thomas departs via unrestricted free agency)

Top 16 would be considered weak because of lack of QB's and big names.

Picks 16-80 are all about the same level though and for teams picking in those ranges this is a deep, strong draft.

The losers are teams like the Browns, Saints, Colts and anyone else who gave up their 2nd round picks this year.
