We're at the point where even reporting the shootings we have every day is "politicizing" gun violence... well, sod off. The gun cheerleaders have been doing their cheerleading for the last couple of months, "politicizing" the gun violence their politics cause.
This isn't your local echo chamber outpost, Clare. Gun control is an American political issue -- as the gun-toters and gun-cheerleaders well know.
Everybody's on to the NRA-style trick of "we wouldn't want to politicize this violence... no, no the respectful thing to do is look the other way or better yet never notice it."

Hmmm....I wonder if that's the same gun he used to blow his brains out?
Double barrel shotty.....
Well that would have been messy
EDIT: According to Wiki, he in fact shot himself in the head with a shotgun (whether it was the double barrel above or not I do not know, just mentions it was "his favorite gun")....
Good lord

Yes, indeed he did. With a history of depression and a familial history of suicide, no less.....had there been mental health checks and a registry perhaps we'd have gotten to read a few more stories.
I really don't care if it's a ad homien but, I wish it was Markos Moulitsas that was shot(Legally of course ), what a horrible disgusting know nothing worthless human being! **** him!

Gun related (although not a human victim, so some might discount it). As a dog owner I know I was very sad to hear of this person doing what he did.
I would prolly spend the rest of my natural life in jail if this guy shot one of my dogs. Then again he would be eating through a tube and using a chalk board to communicate...sounds like an even trade.

Birmingham Ala. -- Police found two women dead in a home last night about 7 p.m., apparently the result of a murder-suicide. The women, ages 46 and 48, had a relationship for about 14 years.
Quote:
The Village, Okla. -- Police said a 22-year-old woman found shot to death Thursday about 1:30 p.m. was about six months pregnant. She was shot as she drove on a street.
If that fetus had had personhood and we didn't have restrictive gun control laws for minors, maybe it and the mother would still be alive
Quote:
Alexander County, N.C. -- A 14-year-old boy was accidentally shot in the abdomen by a friend while target shooting about 5 p.m. yesterday. The injury is considered serious.
41 shot, 20 dead, by my count. One did claim it was a defensive use of the gun:
Quote:
Memphis, Tenn. -- A 16-year old boy is accused of shooting his 58-year-old stepfather in the face at the urging of his 40-year-old mother. The incident occurred at the family home during an argument. The man is in critical condition. The boy claims the shooting was in self-defense.
Weird that so many people will shoot each other in passion but very few defensive gun uses appear in the daily roundup.
I know, I know, it's the media's fault. Hey, this roundup certainly isn't comprehensive... however, it has listed defensive uses in the past.
Meh, that's the kind of country we live in. We're all in danger of random (or argument-inflamed) shooting at any given time. I think that makes us "free" right?
