Then why aren't there more murders in the states where the divorce rate is the highest?

Mostly red states, btw.

Again...not true.

The unemployment rate was much higher during the Great Depression than today. The education system back then was funded significantly less than it is today. Guns were even more available back then and gun control laws were significantly less constraining. In fact, up until 1934 you could own a machine gun.

So you had a much higher unemployment rate, much less money spent on education, and significantly less constraining gun control laws than you have today but a much lower murder rate.

The one thing you also had was a much lower single parent household rate.
That is the problem.

Divorce rates don't equal single parent homes (some people who divorce remarry).....also, single parent homes include single parents who have never been married.

No one on gov't assistance should be living at the same standard as a working family NOT on gov't assistance.

We need to re-align what we spend on these families to make sure they not living at the same standard as an average working family. That should be our starting point.
I am talking about programs designed to help people get out of poverty and learn how to be productive citizens, not giving people money to do with what they will.

Democrats never run out of excuses and people to blame.

In 1998, unemlpoyemt was @ 4.9% 1990s Flashback-Economy / Prices**** and Chicago still had 700+ murders. Crime in Chicago - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I was behind somone in line at the local Roche Bros yesterday. All they had in their cart were 6-12 packs of Pepsi and some salty snacks.

Whent he cashier asked if their card were debit or credit, the guy said EBT card.....no comment.

At least he only took out one. At the Market Basket in Chelsea some people pull out 2 or 3 EBT's and shuffle through them like they're a deck of cards, as they figure out which one to use.

These are the things that bug me. You, me, we should NOT be paying for the less fortunate, and/or deadbeats among us' Pepsi & Doritos. One of the EBT reforms that our inept governor rejected, was a bar code system where products that qualify for EBT use would be bar coded. Seems pretty straight forward and simple to me no? Not to most moonbats unfortunately. EBT should be for essential and healthy foods only. Milk, eggs, veggies, fruits, etc. No Pepsi & Doritos.

TOUCHDOWN INDY! Please please please win this game Colts!
