atheists should mind their own business, you don't believe thats fine, theres no reason to go around trying to ruin what is a joyous occassian for others which constitute the vast majority. Its the tyrrany of the minority. Same goes for the PCer's

I stopped believing in all these imaginary beings (santa, easter bunny, bogeyman, god, tooth fairy etc...) years ago.
But you won't see mee crying foul if someone puts up a decorated tree or something. That's not 'promoting religion' in any way. Heck, if anything, these 'holiday trees' are a pagan tradition rather than a religious one.
People want to believe made up stuff? That's fine with me. You get comfort from reading about your favorite imaginary being or something, fine with me. The only problem I'd ever have with it is if people expect legislation to be based on their particular favorite fairytale book, whether it be the bible, quran, dr seuss, lord of the rings or whatever.

That's the beauty of both living in America and the personal choice of whether to have faith or not.
Made up things are only "made up" to you while another's belief/faith is as real as your personal conclusion as to what exists and what doesn't.
No one will ever be able to prove God exists or doesn't exist....which is why faith is a choice each of us have to make.
I can't belittle your choice and you can't belittle anothers...pretty cool, huh?

Actually, you can. That's the beauty of freedom of speech. It doesn't mean that doing it doesn't make you an *******, but hey, it's freedom baby!
As for a Jewish holiday in April, Passover/Pesach, usually falls around that time.

This genius move was followed by trading out of a spot where they could have gotten the last decent receiver in Robert Ferguson and settled for tackle Matt Light, who will not help any time soon.”

I disagree Nik....one can TRY to belittle another's belief, but they can't do with facts. Someone can arrogantly try to mock another's lack of faith or strong faith, but the joke would be on them.
That's what's so cool.

More shove it down your throat religion from the Atheists.
I wish these *******s would just start their own religious schools so they can do their own crap without taking enjoyment from the majority of kids.
As a Jewish kid growing up in the 80's, there were actual manger scenes in public school, I lived through it and survived, actually sang Christian Christmas carols in music class, oh the horror.

I have to say, it's so darn refreshing to read a post from a Jewish American who dealt with being part of the minority and didn't die!
How'd you do it man?
And the difference is that Christmas has become far more secular today than it was back in the day. It really is a holiday event that anyone can participate in and feel included.
Sometimes I wish we could do it without the gift buying thing. Take the holiday away from corp America!

America shuns the ONE True God, Santa Clause, at her own peril!
We are losing our traditional American values!
First it was this deliberate attempt at trying to change "Xmas" to "Christmas", as if December 25th was this Christ guy's birthday, or something
And now we ignore the reality that Santa makes his trans-global mission after spending all of his considerable wealth making toys all year, putting up with a lazy elfen workforce, increased OSHA regulations and animal rights jack-offs giving him crap about "reindeer labor laws about unreasonable demands (they LOVE to fly at the speed of light! It's what they were bred for!)
We'll pay the price. We're losing our moral base and ignoring the majesty and supernatural power of the Holy One!
REPENT, AMERICA!

I don't have a problem with it ... school is for learning not for celebration of a religious holiday. Families and guardians are for celebrating holidays as they see fit.
