Israel is our favorite middle eastern country and that's not only ok, it's understandable.

You're far too arch and witty for my understanding thus far, Clare. Your evidently purposeful confusion of Turks, Ashkenazis, and some third group I don't remember is lost on me.
Feel free to expand on the snark in complete thoughts that can be discussed on their merits.
Ohhhhh that third grouping was Israel, and I see in your comment that they're now "Young Turkish," possibly a reference to the Turkish nationalist movement of the early 20th. And I see you've got an important point to make as regards specifically Ashkenazi Jewry (vis a vis the sephardim, I'm sure.) This should be fascinating reading. Please do connect some of these dots.

It'll probably have something to do with the whole Khazar thing; right out of "that playbook". I dunno, just a guess...
------------------ “On a day when they could have had impact players David Terrell or Koren Robinson..they took Georgia defensive tackle Richard Seymour, who had 1 sacks last season in the pass-happy SEC and is too tall to play tackle at 6-6 and too slow to play defensive end. This genius move was followed by trading out of a spot where they could have gotten the last decent receiver in Robert Ferguson and settled for tackle Matt Light, who will not help any time soon.”

My guess is that Clare will be a hit & run poster who won't have the courage to actually spell out his beliefs.

Israel kicked fascist ass four times (48-56-67-73) without such structural aid. They are perfectly capable of doing it without our handouts.
Pallies really need to unfuse uncle Adolf's ideology from their system. Their leader was Adolf's big friend and in 48 it was ex-nazis who had fled to that region (Syria, Egypt) such as Brunner, Heim who urged governments to 'destroy Israel' which they were only too happy to try.

Thank you. This is an oft-overlooked fact, though 1973 wasn't totally without our aid. The point still stands. American aid is not about assisting Israel, but buying influence in its decision making. As soon as people can wrap their minds around this, we'll have a better understanding of our relationship with them and how it affects our interests.
