Let's start with the 1972 Olympics and go from there. That was a slaughter by Muslim fanatics.

In 1979, Muslims stormed the U.S. Embassy in Iran and took Embassy staff hostage.

In 1982 the US Embassy in Beirut was bombed by Muslim extremists.

In 1983, the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut were blown up by Muslim extremists.

In 1985, an Italian cruise ship, the Achille Lauro, was seized, and a 69 year old American was shot and thrown overboard by Muslim extremists.

In April 5, 1986, a West Berlin disco frequented by U.S. servicemen was bombed by Muslim extremists from the Libyan Embassy in East Berlin, killing an American.

In December 1988, a passenger jet, Pan Am Flight 103, was bombed over Lockerbie Scotland, by Muslim extremists. Hundreds of innocent people were killed.

In February 1993, the World Trade Center was bombed by Muslim fanatics, killing five people and injuring hundreds.

In October 1993, eighteen American troops were killed in a savage firefight in Somalia. The corpse of one American was dragged through the streets of Mogadishu as the Somalian hordes cheered.

In November 1995, five Americans were killed and thirty wounded by a car bomb in Saudi Arabia set by Muslim extremists.

In June 1996, a U.S. Air Force housing complex in Saudi Arabia was bombed by Muslim extremists.

On August 7, 1998, U.S. Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were bombed by Muslim extremists.

In October 2000, our warship the USS Cole was attacked by Muslim extremists.

On September 11, 2001, three thousand Americans were murdered in a savage terrorist attack on American soil by Muslim fanatics.

On September 11, 2012, on the anniversary of that cowardly attack on the Twin Towers, Muslim fanatics (what else?) storm our embassy in Libya and kill four more Americans.

Only a damn fool would try to compare that carnage to any other religious group today. If planes dropping on their heads in the WTC attack hasn't knocked some sense into them, nothing will.

And it's never the religion, but people. Religion isn't dangerous. What is dangerous is how people express their religion.

Members of this religion all over the world laughed, clapped their hands and danced in the streets on the morning of 9/11.

The decent Muslims on the morning of 9/11 were "dead silent"

They are both dangerous when mixed. It's like fertilizer and amonia.

I disagree. Organised religion is dangerous. And not just in a blow yourself up kinda way, but in a cultural and societal way.

These groups can only exist if they have numbers, and the best way to do that is to force people to join, and force people to stay. Usually by violence or shunning. Its pretty effective but less so in societies like mine and yours where ideas are free and people are free to express them.

Personal religion is rarely dangerous. But in a group self preservation kicks in and that only serves to see other religions as opposed to yours. A personal God is unlikely to lead somebody to violence, whereas the God of almost all organised religions commands violence against the nonbelievers (yes, even Christianity).

Funny how we don't experience that in America, huh?

I'd love to see the graph of lives saved vs lives taken in the world .... just saying.

People killed would dominate that graph ... not even close.

If god is to be credited for one then he must be credited with the other.

Why do american liberals go insane at the sight of a Nativity Scene in the town square but run and hide under their beds and go dead silent if a Muslim in Michigan beheads his own daughter........
