I was reading somewhere that Romney lost 4 swing states by 480,000 votes
... If I were Romney I'd be pretty sick about that.
Less than that. He had 206, needing 64 more...
Ohio 18 electoral votes lost by 104K
Colorado 9 lost by 113K
Florida 29 lost by 73K
New Mexico 6 lost by 76
NH 4 lost by 76
66 electoral votes..442,000 votes.. and throw in another 200 K votes in PA for 20 more votes.
Romney lost for a host of reasons.....and crying over spilled milk won't change it...IIRC Nison lost be less in 1960 and Ford in 1976 lost by as did Al Gore... what 568 votes........442K or 568, doesn't matter, he lost....
EDIT- so NOBODY thinks I'm whining, yes he LOST, I was just commenting on how it could have changed....

The only guy who seems to have accepted the loss, and look dignified, is Mitt Romney.
That says a lot to me about him as a person, and moved him up a few pegs in my book. David Frum gets props for his views in the world of reality.

The forum was 24/7 B.S. when Bush won in 2004. Lot's of Canada talk and all the rest. Funny thing is Bush seemed to get a pass due to 9/11 and Obama seemed to get a pass for the financial meltdown. America is still in the deal with the devil you know mentality I guess.
Personally as I said before the election I wasn't to crazy either way. One part of me was curious if Romney could do something good financially. The other part of me saw Obama as a wiser owl more ready for the next 4 years than he was the first 4 years. Also I said Congress would work with him for 2 years which in politics 2 years is a lifetime.
So we'll see ... both candidates were way closer than they were different. The parties are further apart than the candidates and that was reflected in the results. Romney could not get the GOP anchor off his back.

Frum came up with a great term Conservative Entertainment Complex. People tune into what they want to hear, and the CEC was more than happy to make $$$$$$$$$$$$ off of the people who only tuned into Faux, limbaugh, beck ingrahm etc. Even people like gingrich tuned into an alternative universe. Which is why they and a few on this board are still in shock that they didn't win.
