Are you frikkn kidding me? So the data changed by 1 percentage point since I got it and you call that wrong....you need to get a life Tyrone.

Talk about splitting hairs....

And if we discuss whether or not dems or pubbies got a ringing endorsement from the American people, the answer would still be....

"No, neither party got a ringing endorsement as measured by the popular vote results."

Which is in fact the ONLY way to measure endorsement. Basically, the country is still evenly divided Tyrone whether you want to admit it or not.

Thanks for playing though...

But prior to the election the right said that Romney would garner 300+ votes, and they were calling that a mandate..

Cannot change the rules to fit your argument..

Doc....here's just one example where you actually dead wrong.

Politicians make policy based upon what Americans want. They poll the populace to which way the wind is blowing. So mandate is extremely relevant moving forward as to which policies they pursue.

I guarantee that we won't see taxes raised on the middle class? Why? Because the public opinion MANDATE is dead against it.

Rarely (very rarely) is something passed that Americans are against by a strong mandate.

Policy is SUPPOSED reflect public mandate.

That is why Americans would never accept a strong conservative or a strong liberal policy agenda from our politicians. So if you're hoping for either one, you aint gonna see it.

But, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but.....

We're not discussing what republicans said. We're discussing what American want. And the results say Americans are still very evenly divided.

Not really, PR. There's still an electoral landslide (pubbies' words, not mine,) and there's a pretty sizable 3% gap between your losing philosophy and the one Americans want. Let's rephrase: That's a bigger margin than any Republican's enjoyed since George H.W. (one term) Bush. Oh that's right... the only pubbie president since then has been his son, and he flat-out lost it and claimed the love of the people. Obama walked all over the pubbies compared with how they did in 2004, a year where George II declared a mandate.

In short, WAHHHHHHHHHHH.

While I have some sympathy for the popular vote argument -- and for the national popular vote movement -- I have no sympathy for a "national unpopular vote but not by that much" movement.

Now, throw in a national official unemployment figure of 7.9%, and you've just raised Obama to the status of FDR. You managed to lose senate seats instead of pick them up -- how did you even do that?

Pubbies got shellacked.

Your assumption is flawed. Politicians make policy on what they want to the degree that it doesn't cost them reelection

The Patriots have been overachievers the past two years. It doesn't have the talent to compensate for injuries, and it wins so much because it puts in 99% effort in the regular season and plays with terrific schemes to mask its deficiencies.

But in the playoffs a good team at 99% will not beat emotional, talented teams that play at 100%. It's what happened against the Giants in 2011 and the Ravens in 2012.

Did they? Oh well, I'm sure they'll get over it VA.

Now run along and find yourself a pubbie to taunt cuz I could care less who won or lost.

I'm on record as saying that Obama and Romney were the worst choices we've had in American history...they both suck.

We had a choice of voting for 2 very sucky candidates and the sucky one won....wait, does that make sense?

Hey everyone!!!

I'm about to post something Darryl will be unable to repsond to.

If told you "how wonderful Romney was" I challenge you to show me EXACTLY where I posted that. Show me a single post where I wrote Romney was a wonderful candidate.

Everyone watch to see if Darryl can do this!
