And to think some here would blindly support such laws without considering the big picture.

I've been with my company for a dozen years, I've seen EVERY layoff, and there hasn't been one here in the past 4 years...not even a whiff.

This is page 4 of thius thread, and I have yet to see a link to all of the sources of these massive layoffs, or an article....etc...It does beg the question....where do these stories originate?

The last time I heard about anyone laying off workers, Bain was buying them. Or I was being lied to by telling me that Jeep Jobs were being outsourced to China.

Wow. I've read some whoppers from you before, but that one is Dick Morris level!

So you are arguing that the Fed has been enforcing a tighter cash policy the past few years.

Huh. One learns new things every day!

HD...a lot of companies have announced "Layoff intentions/plans" for the near future. it's actually something that is tracked monthly.

Both of you are now babbling incoherently.

Must have been a tough election!

It's called exaggeration shmessy. You are aware that many Euro nations can't just lay people off.

We're babbling while you dance around my question you failed to answer...

You're not an investment advisor here...and I KNOW you have an opinion. Just wonder why you never state/post your opinion here on the economy.

You always seem to be ok with pointing out the positives, but never comment upon the negatives. Time after time, you comment upon upticks in real estate or defend unemployment reports...but you never came here in 07/08 and shared your comments on negative trends.

That's what I'd like to know since you're an advisor for a $55M portfolio

There you go! Still waiting for your direct reply buddy. We can do this all week if you like.

Are you, alright? Seriously, you're going Diane Sawyer on the forum today.

it has not been my concern since 201, so I could be wrong today.....doesn't matter.....no need to borrow money if you have it anyway.

nonetheless, you have not produced a compelling argument that says companies would be better of doing things some other way.
