Just my personal feeling. I wouldn't ban it but I wouldn't feel alright with it
Think of it the same way we view alcohol use. Both pot and booze have been used for thousands of years.
Each is fine as long as used responsibly....and each WILL be used just as much whether legal or illegal (see prohibition).
If you use either one everyday and/or when you shouldn't, you have a problem. So what are you uncomfortable with specifically?
BTW...just to let y'all know, I've met a few people in AA whose only problem was psychological addction to pot. Just like cocaine, it's not physically addictive, but it can become a major problem for some.

The one thing I'll say about pot is that if you want to be unmotivated, smoke some pot. That stuff will remove every ounce of motivation from you.
Now, if you can wait til the end of the work day, then it's fine. But if I owned a company and found employees smoking pot during work hours, I'd let them go the same as if I found out they were drinking on the job.
BTW...I'm all for complete legalization of it.
That's a myth re motivation and pot.
And of course people shouldn't be smoking while they work, just like drinking (as you point out)
As much as I agree with legalization, not sure if right now is the right time to sanction it unless it is agreed upon by all.. perhaps it has to be approached as some super money saving bill that will somehow reduce the deficit and cut taxes... which it possibly could have.
I think it's not the time to legalize it. That time was sometime in the 1960s, when they figured out that we made a mistake about weed in the 1930s. There's never been a legit reason marijuana has been illegal.
Oh and when they made marijuana illegal, did it have to be "agreed upon by all"?
In RI there has been hesitation to implement the medical marijuana bill we previously passed, because of the threats of the feds who said they will prosecute..
Who the hell still thinks this "evil illegal weed" stuff is sound policy?
