That was my point.

Free Healthcare isn't free. Someone is paying for it.

Then where the hell were they when Bush was spending like a drunken sailor for 8 years and starting wars for no reason? Maybe they needed some sort of "extra motivation" to get going and "organized".
Your making my point! they were pissed at him too. i disavowed Bush in 2007.
The real finacial break down began in 07 after the dems took back the house and senate and the real deficits began.
Nobody denies Bush was a reckless spender but along came Bambi and the dems that put reckless spending on steroids.
The tea party started after the "stimulus" and during Bambicare. Thats what drove people out of their houses and into the streets.

That's bulls#!t.

It's widely acknowledged that the Tea Party was begun after Obama was innaugurated.

"CNBC's Rick Santelli is widely credited with launching the grassroots movement. While standing on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange on February 19, 2009, he unleashed what can only be called a rant against the Obama Administration's proposal to help homeowners facing foreclosure refinance their mortgages."

Show me one instance of the Tea Party Movement prior to Obama's innauguration.

There wasn't one. As you pointed out, spending wasn't an issue to them for basically all of Shrub's 8 years.

But at least we know for certain today, that spending is a very serious issue moving forward. I hope that's what Barak meant by "Forward"......

It's a serious issue for everyone from the farthest left to the furthest right...it's an undenaible, honest to goodness critical issue that we must deal with very soon.

Spending is part of the issue.

Our entire system is broken:

The money in the system.
How we tax.
Our unwillingness to think outside the box on how government can (and should) work in the 21st century.
Term Limits.

We need a paradigm shift, as a people, or we will continue with these "do nothing, pendulum swing, do nothing" cycles

It comes down to the same things every family has to deal with. You can only spend what your revenues support.

It IS the issue, Drewski....not part of the issue. Given that we know we can't increase revenues significantly, what do you think is the other part?
