Actually, none of those who make the decision you describe are members of the UAW. Only those who work in the factories are members of the UAW.

Marketing, designers/engineers, planning, finance, distrubtion, etc. are not union workers.

When the UAW goes on strike, none of the "corporate" employees honor that strike. They're all salaried employees and non-union.

Don't be silly. UAW is just the people who are receiving about $5,000 per American car sold to pay for benefits for their retired workers.
