Default Official 2012 Election Day Thread

Tomorrow will be a very passionate day for many here. Please think twice before posting rude commentary directed at other members. Regardless of opinion i can say with great conviction that no person's opinion in this forum determined the outcome of the election - I am sure of it.

We as Americans have great freedoms that were born of sweat, dedication, sacrifice, blood and death. to take another's opinion away through rude commentary is a slap in the face to all who fought for our rights and freedoms.

There is no right and wrong opinions. there may be majority and minority opinions but it's impossible to determine which are right and which are wrong because we cannot test both and a control group at the same time - we just can't.

If there is someone in this forum who you truly cannot stand - perhaps tomorrow you can go the extra mile to either show them some semblance of respect or avoid their posts altogether - both scenarios will help us get through a tough day for some and a happy day for others.

With every election season and process ... this great country with it's great people carries on and will again this time. Romney and Obama are really not polar opposites of each other - the election only makes it appear that way to get us to vote.

Enjoy tomorrow for better or worse - it's a great day regardless of victor.

Thank You

Either way, I'll be honoring my bet... even if it was "nullified." I believe in honor with wagers, even if my opponent might not.

Still, if Romney wins I promise to be a good sport in my sendoff essay, wish him well, and hope America gets back on track.

Forum is a better place with you here ... if you lose the bet donate to charity instead.

Or open the doors for people at your local republican after party ...

I don't agree with most of what you say or how you say it, but I still enjoy reading it. Opposing views are what it is all about

No matter who wins, only idiots will gloat and try to rub it in.

Whether everyone realizes it or not, we all win whomever is elected.

I will hypothetically knock out the first gloater on here...

You really don't. There is always someone who loses and it's always been the way...it's the one reason my vote here in the UK will always go to to the dame party, regardless of who runs it.

But, anyway, nice thread. Sadly people will ignore it but try not to bite!

Oh, and vote Obama!

I agree completely with the intent, however there will be those who gloat or try to rub things in...

As much as I like and appreciate what Titus has to offer, his honor is lauded.. a bet is a bet, no matter who does what, a man is defined by his word..

With that being said, I am quietly confident about Obama..

You can't ignore Ian. The bet is off. Besides, it's a stupid bet, with no winners. You may want PF out of here, but I have always enjoyed his well thought out views on climate change and many other issues, as I have appreciated your strong support of many liberal policies. Respect Ian's decision and accept that the bet is off or otherwise, if you lose, it will simply look like you're too cowardly to face the dark ages. You don't want that, do you?

Ian controls the board, but does not control the word of gentlemen.. honor is honor, no matter how you look at it..

I respect Titus for agreeing to honor his wager...
