No, since they'll all be attributed to 'global cycles'.
What global cycles? The only determinant of climate is anthropogenic CO2. Haven't you heard?
Quote:
You're playing stupid. They're examples of cities with awful pollution control.
And ones that were left out of Kyoto.

Tell me again with a straight face that the only thing that comes out of your tailpipe and the coal fired power plant is CO2.
I would, if that was what I said. Tell me again that Carbon-trading schemes take into account differences in particulate, NO2, SO2 and other emissions from one place to another.

I don't believe in cap and trade, but I do believe in replacing the technologies that pollute using subsidies and grants to further along development of tech that wouldnt otherwise be profitable for decades.
How do you know which tech will ultimately be profitable? If you have that kind of crystal ball you should already be billionaire.

You implied pollution control was only about Co2.
Your Kyoto response was a non-sequitur. Those two cities were used as examples of cities that fail on pollution control.
Carbon trading schemes aren't even mentioned (aside from my opinion on them) before you brought them up.not sure why you bring that into play.
Lastly, it's beyond belief you're implying solar tech and next gen fission 'may' be profitable. You dont need a crystal ball. You just need to master the technology - its just expensive for most private ventures without government support.

The Patriots have been overachievers the past two years. It doesn't have the talent to compensate for injuries, and it wins so much because it puts in 99% effort in the regular season and plays with terrific schemes to mask its deficiencies.
But in the playoffs a good team at 99% will not beat emotional, talented teams that play at 100%. It's what happened against the Giants in 2011 and the Ravens in 2012.
When he decided to go with the running of the NY Marathon, his endorsement is not worth a bucket of spit right now.
The Marathon starts in Staten Island where people do not have power or even homes. Yet the city workers are out getting the Marathon set up rather than helping those in real need. Two huge generators are being used for the Marathon, rather than helping the people in need.
People and politicians from both sides of the isle are furious with his arrogance in refusing to postpone this event. This may be one endorsement that Obama may not want to have right now.
Cops are being pulled for the marathon while looting is going on around the City.
Rich, out of touch, let them eat cake attitude.

"Some guys play in all-star games, some guys don't. I don't know who picks all those all-star teams. In all honesty, I don't know who picks the combine, for that matter," Belichick said. "How does (Miami-Ohio offensive lineman Brandon) Brooks not get invited to the combine? How did Vollmer not get invited to the combine? I don't know. We can't really worry about that. We just have to try to evaluate them the best we can."
So emperor for life, Mayor BigGulp finally relented and cancelled the marathon. What a man of the people eh? While his people dumpster dive for food because they're hungry, BigGulp was insisting on cooking up a few truck loads of al dente pasta so his marathoners from foreign countries could load up on carbs for the race. Any chance they'd be running through Staten Island? Afterall, they short on gas down there, and after eating all that pasta, those runners would likely be letting some loose along the way.
What a loser that man is.
B5, thanks for saving me a lot of time. What B5 said.
Clearly the Kyoto point sailed over Doc's head. It's one of the major issues that exposes that treaty for what it is. If the planet's environment, and future is in the balance because of MMGW and CO2, then why would you exempt some of the worlds largest, and worst polluters from having to comply? Um, cuz it's not about CO2 and the environment. It's about global government, money, and controlling people's behavior.

"The most difficult subjects can be explained to the most slow-witted man if he has not formed any idea of them already; but the simplest thing cannot be made clear to the most intelligent man if he is firmly persuaded that he knows already, without a shadow of doubt, what is laid before him." Leo Tolstoy, 1897
