I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Al Gore back on TV, trying to convince people that Hurricane sandy was due to climate change. Then again we shouldn't be surprised that some slimeball would try and politicize a devastating event not even a week after it happens.
Just how polluted and overpopulated was the earth in 1635, the first recorded hurricane packing winds of 130mph?
Quote:
NEW YORK (AP) — The winds whipped up to 130 mph, snapping pine trees like pick-up sticks and blowing houses into oblivion. A surge of water, 21 feet high at its crest, engulfing victims as they desperately scurried for higher ground.
The merciless storm, pounding the coast for hours with torrential sheets of rain, was like nothing ever seen before. One observer predicted the damage would linger for decades.
This wasn't New Orleans in August 2005. This was New England in August 1635, battered by what was later dubbed "The Great Colonial Hurricane" — the first major storm suffered by the first North American settlers, just 14 years after the initial Thanksgiving celebration in Plymouth Colony.

Al Gore's a dimwit, I'm not surprised Loonberg's hopped on his bandwagon
Obama's the man with the money and Loonberg's all over it.
Most scientists believe in climate change; most Republicans do not. Most scientists are interested in knowledge and research and objective understanding of the facts to develop theories. In my view, the risk of addressing climate change is cleaner air and water. Most Republicans don't seem to think about this issue very deeply, and engage in the sort of groupthink that people like Rush Limbaugh foist upon them. That said, it's important to acknowledge, there is a small group of scientists and Republicans who do not believe in climate change for thoughtful reasons, just as there are still a small group of people who do not believe in relativity and evolution.

What do you expect? You have Republican doctors talking about evolution being the tool of the devil while serving on science committees.
The idiocy is staggering.

The Patriots have been overachievers the past two years. It doesn't have the talent to compensate for injuries, and it wins so much because it puts in 99% effort in the regular season and plays with terrific schemes to mask its deficiencies.
But in the playoffs a good team at 99% will not beat emotional, talented teams that play at 100%. It's what happened against the Giants in 2011 and the Ravens in 2012.

All scientist know that the climate is always changing, an increasing number realize that the human activities have little to nothing to do with the process.

"How does (Miami-Ohio offensive lineman Brandon) Brooks not get invited to the combine? How did Vollmer not get invited to the combine? I don't know. We can't really worry about that. We just have to try to evaluate them the best we can."

Perhaps Bloomie's endorsement will help Obama hang on in NY.

Most scientist's require government funding to support their research, an inconvenient truth.
Most scientist's require government funding to support their research, an inconvenient truth.
This line of thinking suggests we need to discredit all science.
