President Obama will join Chris Christie, the Republican governor of New Jersey, in viewing damage from the storm on Wednesday, the White House announced on Tuesday as Mr. Obama praised relief efforts at a Red Cross headquarters in Washington.
The president canceled campaign rallies that had been scheduled for Wednesday. Instead, Mr. Obama will join with Mr. Christie — who has been one of his harshest critics — in talking with victims of the storm and thanking first responders, officials said.
"If Chris Christie doesn't run, then Mitt Romney will get the nomination and we'll lose"
-- Ann Coulter
Christie looks a lot better bullying his constituents from a podium than walking next to a fit guy who's a few inches taller than him, definitely. But I'm digging the Obama/Christie bromance. It's Christie's big chance to move the ball forward, keeping the door open for 2016 while doing good for his state. It also must feel good for a pubbie to tell the truth now and then... and when Christie gushes that Obama is being responsive and responsible, I'm thinking that feels good... because he is.
And don't give me that crap about how they're just doing their jobs. Of course they are... but we all have that permanent picture of what pubbie presidents think is the way to handle such situations.
Meanwhile, Mitt is handing out cans of food to his supporters standing in line, and having them "donate" for the photo op Never mind that apparently, nobody is asking for cans of food.
But he knows how to handle disaster relief because he once helped clean up a football field after a big game.
I think it's still a very tight election, but I don't think hurricane week has been good for the rightie lemmings.
His staff went to a walmart the night before and bought five thousand dollars of food. When someone showed up at the rally and didn't bring anything they were given a 'care package' to give to the fraud. The neos here complain about the lam stream media being leftist, if that were the case they would have plastered this story all over the papers and tv.
