What do you people think of this? I think he's making a big mistake partly because this storm isn't as big a deal as it is south of Massachusetts. I can't figure out whether this is good for him or not. Either way, it's a political calculation and not one of safety or respect for the voters of Massachusetts, IMO.
Am I missing something?

I wish you liberals would make up your minds. Is this the storm of the millenium and we should postpone all activity, or is it just a little wondy out and everything should proceed as normal?
I think it's the right move ... I'm not pulling for him either so I am not biased.
Why do you think so??
I'm not against him. I might still vote for him. I voted for him before. I wanted this debate bad. I have never had a more difficult time deciding who to vote for before. I don't think I'm alone here.

What's confusing is your impulse to define people using over-simplistic terms like "liberal" and "conservative" when the majority of this country defines themselves in more complex terms. For you and tree-hugging hippies, the world is simple. For the rest of us, it's less nlack-and-white.

Since when do liberals have a rank file opinion on storm prep?

The Patriots have been overachievers the past two years. It doesn't have the talent to compensate for injuries, and it wins so much because it puts in 99% effort in the regular season and plays with terrific schemes to mask its deficiencies.
But in the playoffs a good team at 99% will not beat emotional, talented teams that play at 100%. It's what happened against the Giants in 2011 and the Ravens in 2012.

Brown lives in Wrentham....he's probably without power as are many in his area.
a person still has to take care of his stuff

So, like I said, I sure wish you liberals would make up your minds and decide if it's business as usual going forward or if we should push the elections back to July, 2015.

I don't know what Scott Brown's reasons are...but if this is it, it's a very poor one.
That's the thing about working in the public sector - you kinda belong to the public and your committment to them usually takes precedence over your committment to your family.
I'm pretty sure that every firefighter, EMT, cop and other emergency personnel has personal "stuff" to tend to - families that need evacuating, furniture that needs to be put on blocks, sand bags that need to be filled and stacked, windows that need to be boarded, kids that need to be comforted, spouses that need a hand - but they sure don't get to stay home and take care of it.....nor do they expect to. On the contrary, they know they're going to be gone from home far longer than usual - it goes along with the job - it also goes along with being a governor, mayor, senator, congressman, whatever.
