Have you noticed we really are cracking down? We don't catch every violation, but we are catching a lot more of them. If you haven't noticed, it's because you're not breaking the rules and you make a genuine effort to stick to the subject, respect those who disagree with you, and present a well-reasoned (or sometimes amusing) point of view. I've been unbanned from threads

Over the long haul the actions of the mods won't make much of a difference.

after the election, things will simmer down naturally

what will continue, however is partisan banning.

I've noticed you're cracking down on some people but not on others. I'm still seeing an awful lot of "<bleep> you's" and personal attacks and (!r(um7en+ing the language filter from the usual suspects with no negative consequences.

For example, I got kicked out of the "cue balls" thread for no good reason whatsoever, but the guy who said "**** you" and "you don't know ****" to another member in that same thread is still actively contributing.

I think members who have shown an arrogance to the new forum will be shown the door quickly. I've never been banned and never had a warning. It's not rocket science.

Scout nails it. Most come here to discuss ..

Sometimes discussions get heated but respectfully.

Some come here angry ... and we all know the rest of how that will go from now on.
