Default Romney = Stench

Paul Ryan vs. The Stench - Roger Simon - POLITICO.com

Stench = Going Rogue

Going Rogue = implosion

Implosion = The Romney campaign

Quote:
Though Ryan had already decided to distance himself from the floundering Romney campaign, he now feels totally uninhibited. Reportedly, he has been marching around his campaign bus, saying things like, “If Stench calls, take a message” and “Tell Stench I’m having finger sandwiches with Peggy Noonan and will text him later.”

Name-calling begins as reported rift opens between ‘Stench’ Romney and ‘Gilligan’ Ryan | The Raw Story

Romney is calling Ryan, GILLIGAN!!!!

Quote:
Meanwhile, according to Simon’s anonymous sources, the Romney “brain trust” of senior campaign officials in Boston have taken to calling Ryan “Gilligan.” Campaign headquarters apparently feels that the man brought on to the ticket for his alleged deftness in navigating complicated snarls of budget and policy numbers is turning out to be an intellectual flyweight.

The Stench bit was a satire made up by the writer apparently. It wasn't a real nickname.

And in breaking news, Limbaugh blames the Feminazi's for shrinking penises..

Quote:
"The study's leaders claim to have bona fide research that says the average size of a penis is roughly 10 percent smaller than it was 50 years ago. And the researchers say air pollution is why," Limbaugh said.

Limbaugh said that he did not believe that air pollution and global warming could have such an impact. "I don't buy this. I think it's feminism. I think if it's tied to the last 50 years, the average size of a member is 10 percent smaller ... it has to be the feminazis," Limbaugh said.

So Paul Ryan is referencing a writer who called Romney "Stench" while telling reporters he is eating finger sandwiches with Peggy Noonan?

What a jokester this guy is... Maybe someone needs to tell Paul Ryan that what makes a joke funny, is that its a two way street.

Ryan called Romney "Stench" in referencing the fact that a reporter said that he needs to was himself of teh "stench" of Romney if he were to ever run again.

I get it....Its just a name that a political FOE would use as a joke, not his running mate. Especially as a joked reference to running for office. Meaning he is listening to advice from reporters about his next move.

this is an odd 'defense' of this by the right.

Yes. He certainly said what was quoted in both pieces. Its the understanding of what he said that is up for debate.

He was JOKING about washing himself of Romney's stench if he ever had to run again. Get it?

Stench?

Meaning he might not hold office anytime soon because the guy running for president is toxic?

Get it?

Haha?

Its funny, because they are losing, and will lose....get it?

no?

neither do I.

So in the link labeled "Politico," which in fact does not go to Politico, we have a Bloomberg guy quoting another guy at Politico saying the article was "satire..." even though he complains simultaneously that it wasn't funny enough to be satire.

Let's be fair and pull up the actual Politico piece. It now has a disclaimer pointing to the satirical intent at the end:

Paul Ryan vs. The Stench - Roger Simon - POLITICO.com

Lots of it is pointedly funny (for example, the description of PowerPoint,) and he did make sure he said "reportedly" whenever discussing Ryan's description of Romney as "Stench."

But yanno, I'm still going to call him that.
