TRUTH:

Allow me to summerize my reaction:

The sad part of this whole story is that 10% of that 14% he paid in taxes you know was absolutely wasted. He would have probably donated 40% to charity.

Why not do this from the start? Hemming and hawing on this likely lost him some votes that he isn't likely to get back. Unless of course the economy tanks some more, but still, why wait till now? Also, Friday is when people dump news they're not all that happy to report, or make announcements they don't think will be too popular. If this were something they were doing as a positive, it wouldn't be happening on a Friday.

One thing I will say though, the man is no Joe Biden. He is very generous with his money. Regardless of who it goes too, it takes a lot to give away millions of dollars to charity.

I'm not sure I agree with this assertion anymore... Friday now tends to blend in with the weekend news cycle and Sunday morning is the big political talk day.

Oh I bet its so hard to write a check......I bet his hand hurts after it.....lol

Its not the ammount you donate that matters, its what you can give that matters.....Size isn't everything RW......

If I made 240 million dollars, I don't think it would be that hard to donate 10% of it and then take 50% deduction on it......

I'm sure the hours of hard work at his desk, talking on a phone taking a plane trip were really hard and I couldn't even imagine it! I mean having to work at a desk? Having to talk on a phone? Having to take first class plane trips? All of that sounds so HARD! Let me tell you, working in a mine or an oil rig or pretty much any job that takes "real" work isn't even close to the work people like silver spoon do!

If he's so awesome why did he take a deduction on it? Oh that's right he like his government handout!!! lmfao!

Exactley this was let out in the news cycle at 3pm east and will be probably the last story of the week and carried over the weekend.

Great move by Mitt. Because they will be pissing all over themselves sayin they want more. And the answer will be they just let out 20 years. And the dems will be exposed weeping whiners that they are.

you were going so strong until the end.

it doesn't take a lot for a mega millionaire, with hundreds of millions of dollars earning tens of millions of dollars by doin absolutely nothing to donate $$ so that he pays less to the United States in taxes.
