The Sudanese government would like nothing more than to see a dozen C-130s land and evacuate the US Embassy. Once the US is gone, they can resume killing their own people and the Chinese can drill for their oil. Piece of cake.

Speaking of paying attention;

A. I only brought the subject of wars up because of a false claim that it was republicans who bring us to wars, when it is clearly not just a republican issue. I think the word love was used to describe the republican attitude toward war.

B. My other point was because of a claim that people here on this board didn't have solutions in the past. I was merely trying to point out that nobody here asked for the job. The Liar-In-Chief did.

I think you're being redundant with the blog whine. Like I keep saying, the truth is as clear to see as the ears protruding from the side of his head.
Yes I did forget about Korea and Bosnia... being a pacifist, I often try to forget about war. If you want to paint it as Democrats start more wars, be comfortable with that thought, even though it is not true.. only Congress has the power to declare war. Cheney tried desperately to change this, and succeeded with mixed results.

This whole thing started with your claim that Obama apologized, and I asked for context and you have been tap dancing ever since.. just because the blogs and Fox News says things like "apologizer in chief", it may not be true. As you have chosen to avoid the question, I will assume that you just repeated a right wing lie.

All presidents ask for the job, they spend millions to get elected, is this unique to Obama??

Since Reagan, there has been the rise of Neo Cons in power.. starting with the reign of Cheney who was pretty much in the chain of command for about 24 of the past 32 years that the Republicans have led this country.. and no one is more of a war monger than he was/is...

If you send them in, 'period', you're breaking international law.
Really? Is that how it worked when Obama got Osama? Yeah, might want to rethink the whole "how it works" thing.

P.S. DarryIS, you liked his post, but you also list getting Osama as one of Obama's great accomplishments. So, which is it? Is it ok to break international laws to execute someone but not ok to break them to save Americans?

But thank you for paying attention..

Why haven't the incompetents Obama/Clinton withdrawn our people and instead left them undefended like the people in Libya?

Uh, no. Most "lefties" accused of GWB of bungling the response to Katrina, which he did (granted, some of the state-level Democrats in Louisiana didn't acquit themselves with glory, either).

Meanwhile I see you are mindlessly parroting the "Apologist-in-Chief" meme that gets the deep thinkers on the right all wet. Can you please provide specific examples of the apologies to which you are referring?

Probably because they are not right wing paranoids who stereotype all Arabs. No wonder the Republican Party is such a bigoted mess. Four Americans are killed--there's probably a car accident that kills that many every day--and you want to cut and run.

I wrote to my niece who is teaching in Tunisia to ask if she's okay. Here's what she wrote:

"It is very sad what has happened--especially because several lives have been lost, here and across the region. My feeling is that the tension surrounding this absurd film will pass soon. It is a small, marginal group that started the violence here, and they have mostly been arrested. Apparently there are also a bunch of kids who showed up at the protest and used the incident as a pretext to vent their anger at the police/military.... People feel frustrated that things haven't changed as quickly as they would like after the revolution. And, as I am sure you know, there is also still a lot of frustration against the US in this part of the world in general. I understand their frustration and grievances, but of course the violence is unacceptable- and not the most effective of realizing their aims either. But, in general, the people here are so lovely and welcoming and warm. I haven't felt any anti-Americanism at all--people distinguish between our government's policies and individuals and they make a point of letting westerners know this. So this is all strange. There is a real feeling here that these Salafi guys, with their ultra-conservative religious outlook and practices, are infiltrating the country from the outside--from the Gulf. Even Tunisians feel worried by them. It is not the Tunisian brand of Islam, which is very liberal and open.

If they are murdered by the mob I am sure they will feel better knowing that they died to avoid stereotyping the people who kill them.

No need for principles when dealing with thugs who kick sand in your face by denying us the right to defend our people on soverign US territory....

Maybe because if we withdrew our embassy people we'd be leaving all the other Americans living or visiting in those countries without representation or recourse.

Ya think?

Stay in your lily white suburb with your like minded people. It's the only way to keep yourself safe. There are Muslims all around. Beware!
