Default NBC Skips Moment of Silence to Interview Kris Jenner

Wow ... about as disrespectful as it gets - more worried about the ratings i guess.
Viewers should give the station a few days or a week of a moment of silence IMO.

NBC News Skips 9/11 Moment Of Silence On 'Today'

Quote:
NBC News is drawing fire after it chose to air an interview with "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star Kris Jenner on Tuesday morning, instead of the moment of silence remembering when the first plane hit the World Trade Center.
Quote:
TV Newser reports that ABC's "Good Morning America," "CBS This Morning" and the cable news networks carried the moment. NBC News and "Today," however, skipped it in favor of Jenner discussing the upcoming season of her show and her breast implants.

NBC News Skips 9/11 Moment Of Silence On 'Today'
Hmm seems like an epic fail. Its one thing to skip it....but for the Kardashians?

Pffftttt....

OT:Reminds me of my sisters friend (at the time Jr. in HS) who was pissed the MTV was showing the NBC/CBS/ABC feed on 9-11 rather than regularly scheduled programming......

A “Today” rep defended the network’s bone-headed decision.

“The `Today’ show dedicated a considerable amount of time to September 11th coverage this morning throughout the entire show,” said NBC News spokeswoman, Megan Kopf.

Earlier during show, “Today” aired a lengthy segment about 9/11.

But the callous decision to ignore the moment of silence left “Today” rivals in shock — especially at “Good Morning America” which is engaged in a fierce battle for viewers but still managed to carry the somber ceremony.

I think the fact that trash people like the Kardashians are a household name, as well as the fact that some middle aged, made with plastic, sag bag's implants is a Today show topic on 9/11 (or at all for that matter), says EVERYTHING we need to know about the direction of this country. Is it any wonder how, or why, this country is headed toward oblivion? When there is actual demand for talentless, trash mama implant talk on one of a major networks anchor shows, it speaks volumes about the mental capicity, intelligence, and fundamental standing of our citizentry. It's over people. We're done.

Left wing orientation of NBC/MSNBC shines through again. Why would this surprise anyone.

The fact that a few posters here try to tie this to partisan politics demonstrates that RW nailed it.

There is no other way to keep up with the Kardashians, they simply must be followed, and interviewed at ALL TIMES.

If we stop keeping up with them, eventually...they will keep up with us, and that is a day NONE of us ever want to see.

seriously....This is terrible.

shame
