i very much doubt that...

my impression over the years has been that most people who actually watch more than the candidate's speech are the "true believers" of both parties who pretty much watch the conventions through the lens of their pre-existing beliefs...

undecided or independent observers tend to limit themselves to the candidates speech or cut through any other theatrics and focus on the person who is on the ballot...this year, Clinton, because of his high favorables (69%), might give Obama a bit of a boost, but my guess is that even that will dissipate by the end of the month...

that's pretty much what viewers have decided. there hasn't been a convention with a compelling "real news" story line since the Democratic convention in 1968. it's amazing the networks still televise an hour of this drivel on their main channels...

I mean people could be watching the Kardashians or the six thousandth rerun of Patrick Jane shooting the wrong Red John!
