Call me crazy, but I think headlines which say "food-stamp-use-climbed-to-record-46-7-million-in-june" are somehow preferable to headlines which say, "Starvation death rates climbed to record number in June."

Of course, maybe that's just me.

I have no problem with people coming here and making a life, I just want some order to the whole process, they just need to pay taxes and its all good. Hell you don't even have to learn English, just pay your taxes.

If they come here and need food and shelter we should give it to them, that's what kind of nation we are! We don't turn away people or not help them because they aren't one of us or aren't the right color or religion or w/e. We are better then that and we should act like it!

Now I don't believe in enabling them, letting them live off the Gov but at the same time we have to help them, they need someone to believe in them and give them a shot. We should never turn away people that want a better life for themselves and their families and are willing to work for it.

I didn't think you were religious ILHP....guess I was wrong after your opening preaching paragraph.

Then you should donate your money to help foreigners.

Personally, I don't want to have to work and pay taxes to support anyone who feels like walking into OUR country.

Just an fyi...it is OUR country. It's not "everyone's country". I'd prefer my tax dollars help US citizens first & foremost. Anything left should be used to pay down our deficit or re-train US citizens to get jobs.

If people want to come to the USA, then let them do it LEGALLY like our ancestors did.

My Lord, sometimes I think people believe we are responsible for the entire world. We're not any more responsible than any other country.
